Depot Manager

This exciting opportunity comes with an attractive package worth in excess of £80,000 (negotiable for the right candidate) which includes a substantial Basic Salary, Bonus, Company Car, Industry Leading Pension (matched to 10% with length of  service increments), Private Healthcare plus other benefits.

Are you an experienced Truck Dealership / Truck Industry Manager?  The role puts you in charge of 20+ employees across the Technical, Service and Sales departments.

 

Required Competences:

Strong Commercial Awareness, in particular:
Good Business acumen, with the ability to produce and understand Finance and Management Reporting
To be able to interpret and understand the operational budgets and KPIs
To be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally
To be able to manage and motivate a team in their daily activities
Competent in Sales Techniques & Presentation Skills
Knowledge of HGV Truck terminology and systems
Good IT Skills in office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
An understanding of Operators Licence Laws and Regulations
An understanding of  a Depot’s customers and potential customers

Role Description:

It is the Manager’s responsibility to grow the profitability of the business, through the management and development of the employees and customers, whilst striving to exceed the best vehicle industry standards through financial productivity, operating standards and customer & employee satisfaction. Excellence in Customer Service is paramount to this role.

In Particular: 

Together with the Finance Controller and the depot management team, produce a yearly budget for the Depot, which covers full Operational and P&L responsibilities as well as Health & Safety for the site
Achieve performance standards set within the budget and manage control costs and expenditure as set in the budget
Whilst supporting the strong existing customer base look to build upon it with new customers as well as achieving high customer satisfaction
Strong focus on employee engagement – identifying training requirements and creating an environment allowing all  depot staff to be successful in their roles
